This is how the “Red Feb” series began it was the beginnings of an idea to do with women and vessels. I would throw some bowls, wrap them carefully and take them to life drawing with me so I could draw directly onto them. These are very short poses and I felt gave it the look of a zoetrope.

Red because of the colour of the clay, Feb because January was something else, and it rhymed in a primitive way!
